  • Go Vegan! - Every time we sit down to eat, we can choose compassion over cruelty. Adopting a vegetarian diet is the single most important and powerful action you can take to end animal cruelty.

Visit ChooseVeg.com for eggless recipes and tips for making the transition to a vegan diet.

Also, consider taking a 30 day egg free pledge.

  • Expose the Truth - Share this investigation with a friend or embed the undercover video on your website or MySpace profile.
  • Support Our Work - Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help Mercy For Animals continue our vital work of exposing animal cruelty.
  • Call on the Department of Defense to stop purchasing eggs from NuCal Foods to the tune of $6.7 million. NuCal Foods distributes eggs from cruel Gemperle Enterprises, the farm Mercy for Animals investigated.

Tell Inspector General John Maffei that, as a concerned citizen, you demand that the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) terminate NuCal Foods' and Gemperle Enterprises' status as an approved egg vendor to federal procurement programs.

Please call the Inspector General's office at 804-734-8106/8965.

You can also email DeCAHotline@deca.mil or write:

  • Hold Trader Joe's Accountable – Although Trader Joe's recently announced its noble move to sever ties with Gemperle Enterprises following MFA's investigation, the company has still failed to adopt a policy against battery cage eggs.

Battery cages – which deny birds the ability to walk, stretch their wings, or engage in any other basic movements – are inherently cruel.

Please thank Trader Joe's for dumping Gemperle Enterprises as a supplier, but urge the company to follow the lead of Whole Foods by adopting a strict policy against the sale of eggs from hens confined in battery cages.
